About the MEHA Center
The owner of Olean’s Mother Earth Healing Arts Center hopes to educate, inspire and restore communication and connection in clients’ lives.
Owner, Lisa Ralston, offers a holistic approach to health to area residents, schools and agencies.
“Holistic Health is a concept in which all aspects of one’s life are considered interdependent. I’ve learned that if we are to live in joy, peace, harmony, health, and prosperity, we must embrace our wholeness. Holistic Health aims to do just that,” Ralston said.
“It is a privilege to bring all that I have learned back to Western New York,” the Olean native said. Having studied with masters, professionals, and doctors from various parts of the world, traveling to Thailand, Peru, the Virgin Islands, and the East and West Coasts of Florida to teach and study, Ralston said she is grateful to be back in the Olean community and enthused to be connecting, learning, and growing in Western New York and beyond.
“It’s a dream come true to be doing what I love in my hometown,” Ralston said. “It is a privilege to bring all that I have learned back to Western New York.”
She began teaching yoga and fitness classes in 2003 at the Olean YMCA and furthered her studies in Massage Therapy, Health & Wellness, Business Administration, and Math & Science in New York. “Studying consciousness-based medicine at the International BodyTalk Association was a true gift for my own healing and evolution,” she said, adding, “Working with Florida International University encouraged me to bring my work more mainstream.”
Ralston said she is grateful to operate out of Mother Earth Healing Arts (MEHA) Center, which is right at the center of town along with Lincoln Park, Miriam Center for Hope, St. Stephan’s Church, and Genesis House.
Her vision for The MEHA Center is to help the community experience more connection in lives so people can relax, be healthy and focus minds, she said, adding this allows people to take inspired action, as well as, feel good, secure, and optimistic.
“I’ve gone far and wide and find myself back at the tap root, with insight for how we can grow stronger, kinder, healthier communities,” she said, adding “we all need more connection in our lives; to ourselves, to each other, and to Mother Earth.” Spreading that message is one reason why Ralston opened the Olean location in April 2021 as a sister company to MELIFELOVE, which has offered holistic health education and services in schools in Western New York since 2019.

Healing Arts encompasses a lot. We do fitness classes, sound therapy, art, and dance, we stretch and condition, we do a little bit of everything. Sometimes we sing and even stream or shout. Whether you are interested in a one to one session, those are really my favorite, or a group session, also fun and powerful.
